Department of Bird Safety: Housing Project
(collaboration with Geneviève Raiche-Savoie)
w:17 x h:6 x d:15.25 inches, 2013
In our investigation, we have been looking at ways in which popular culture and art history have produced and commented on our relationship with birds and their habitats. Our survey of homes includes a look at Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye and its inability to provide viable avian housing. All of these artists in some way have intervened into the world of ornithology and its relationship to architecture.
